Case Study: How We Helped Adora POS Grow Beyond WordPress
Adora POS is a U.S.-based tech company helping restaurants and pizzerias manage operations through a customizable point-of-sale system. However, as the company grew, their existing WordPress website began to fall short in supporting new performance, design, and integration needs. In this case study, we share how Southwave partnered with CULTRE to deliver a scalable, secure, and high-performing website - just in time for Adora's product launch at the International Pizza Expo.

Client Overview
Adora POS is a US-based company that's been serving the food service industry since 2012 with a powerful and customizable point-of-sale system for pizzerias and restaurants. Their solution supports everything from in-house orders to delivery and online operations - but their website was no longer keeping up with the company's growth.
We were brought in by CULTRE , Adora's marketing partner, to handle the technical part of the redesign and infrastructure rebuild. Together, we worked toward a solution that would give Adora the modern, scalable, and flexible platform they needed - just in time for an important industry presentation.
The Challenge
When CULTRE began working with Adora, their website was built on WordPress - a solid starting point, but no longer aligned with the needs of a growing B2B tech company. As CULTRE brought us in to lead the full-scale marketing experience, it became clear that Adora was facing challenges like:
- Slow loading speeds;
- Limited flexibility in design and development;
- A lack of scalability and security;
- Limited ability to integrate new features (like pricing tools or CRM systems).
They didn't have a detailed brief or documentation, so we worked closely with their team to shape a solution from scratch - one that would scale with their business goals.
Our Approach
Working closely with CULTRE, who led the broader marketing vision and brand strategy, we focused on translating their creative direction into a scalable technical solution. Over the course of a month, we collaborated to define the scope of work - from aligning on business needs to selecting the tech stack and outlining future functionality.
Only after that discovery phase did the actual development begin - a process that took longer but moved smoothly thanks to our clear plan and close communication throughout.
What we delivered:
- A complete redesign of the website;
- A visually enhanced pricing calculator designed to capture leads and guide users through Adora's value offering;
- Optimized infrastructure setup;
- Mobile and desktop responsiveness;
- Continued support for feature expansion.

The Process
A dedicated team of four specialists worked on the project:
- 1 frontend developer
- 1 backend developer
- 1 UI/UX designer
- 1 project manager
Our workflow was as follows:
- Discovery & Planning
We spent the first month working closely with the client to define the scope, agree on goals, choose the best tech stack, and gather design references. We also identified technical challenges and future integration needs.
- Design & Prototyping
Our designer created interactive prototypes, visual layouts, and UX solutions aligned with Adora's brand and business goals. Special attention was paid to the pricing page and new interactive elements.
- Development
Frontend and backend development started in parallel. The frontend team integrated designs using Next.js and React, focusing on responsiveness and performance. The backend team handled API setup, database structure, and integrations using Laravel and MySQL.
- Testing & Optimization
We ran quality assurance tests on functionality, security, mobile responsiveness, and performance. SEO improvements and speed optimizations were implemented as part of this phase.
- Deployment & Support
Once the site passed testing, we deployed it to GoDaddy's servers and integrated Cloudflare for extra security and speed. We continue to support the site and are currently planning next improvements for Adora.
Technologies Used
We selected each technology to solve Adora's specific challenges - performance, scalability, and future growth.
- Next.js - a React-based framework that enables server-side rendering and fast page loads, helping improve SEO and performance;
- React - a popular JavaScript library for building dynamic user interfaces, ideal for responsive, interactive websites;
- Laravel - a flexible PHP framework used to build secure, scalable backend systems and APIs;
- MySQL - a reliable relational database system that supports large volumes of structured data with strong performance;
- Cloudflare - integrated for security and performance enhancements, including DDoS protection and faster content delivery.

The Results for Adora
Just in time for the International Pizza Expo, CULTRE launched Adora's updated website as part of a full-scale marketing push - supporting the debut of their new AdoraAI product on the big stage. The new site offered:
- A high-performance experience with fast load times;
- A modern, clean, and brand-aligned design;
- Better navigation and UX with features like a pricing calculator;
- Secure infrastructure and scalability for future features;
- Improved SEO foundations for better visibility.
This project was a result of close collaboration with CULTRE, who led the overall experience and brought us in to deliver the technical solution. Together, we helped Adora move away from the limitations of their old platform and prepare for future growth.
